General Rules
Eligibiltiy
Students may participate in a CDE at the state level a maximum of two times providing:
- They have not been a member of a state winning team in that CDE and/or participated in that National CDE.
- Students may compete twice at the state level in a junior division and twice in a senior division of those CDEs having two divisions (i.e. livestock selection).
- Students may compete twice in a division at the state level for those CDEs having rotational or multiple areas (i.e. welding, livestock management, agricultural mechanics, and ag communications).
Infractions of this rule will result in that team forfeiting any awards and honors associated with the CDE.
District Verification
Please e-mail district qualifiers to Krystl Knabe as soon as possilbe, but no later than March 20th.
The following CDEs are district qualifying:
Livestock Management, Ag Mechanics, Ag Sales, Floriculture, Nursery and Landscape (25% of the total number of schools in district),
Welding, Livestock Selection (50% of the total number of schools in district); and
Food Science (two teams per district plus wildcards as determined by the director).
