2009 Rules Update 1. Plant Identification (individual) 50 points • 50 questions • Digital images will be projected. • A plant list will be provided. • Plant list is the same from previous years. • Plant images and descriptions can be found at http://www.agronomy.unl.edu/newoutreach/youthprograms.html 2. Problem Solving (individual) 50 total points • 50 questions • Students will be required to identify the correct pest – insect, disease or weed. • Student will be required to answer questions about products sold or used in a nursery. • Actual pest samples, digital images, labels (seed, fertilizer, pesticide, etc.), charts,
pots, containers, etc. will be used. • Students will not be allowed to go back to any station. • Pest list and sample questions can be found at
